ABUSE IN KENTUCKY
A children's advocacy center is a child friendly facility that serves as the first stop for children entering the justice system as a result of suspected sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect and dependency, and those who have witnessed a violent crime. Last year, 6,674 children received critical services at a children's advocacy center in Kentucky. The network of 15 CACs in Kentucky ensures that children in every geographic location in the state have access to a CAC. Of the children served by our CACs last year:
